Our Mission
The Chemical Engineering Graduate Board at the University of Virginia consists of graduate students who go beyond their academic pursuits to improve the quality of life, both academic and social, in the Chemical Engineering department. This is accomplished in a number of ways, including:
- Communicating graduate student concerns and interests to the faculty
- Planning activities and serving as hosts for visiting prospective graduate students
- Planning social activities for the graduate students and faculty
- Organizing seminars in which graduate students present their research
- Assisting in the recruitment of new faculty members
